Instead of having to remember multiple step processes, AutoDesk allow firms to add-on buttons to their user-interface which optimize their work flow. Leadership will conduct an analysis of the most common types of activities of their employees in the firm. Then hiring either an internal or external software developer to create the add-on which will appear on the companies software subscription.
Dependence
One of the drawbacks is employees will develop a dependence on the software and firm for their workflow. Without the buttons or plugins, the employee is not the same all-star engineer they once were. Hence, switching firms is no longer an easy task and providing the same level on consulting becomes more distant.
Tradition
Part of the challenge is modernity is the degrees of separation from our human senses to experience the environment. Software design has swapped out the many human methods of measurement, data collection and decision making that was relied intertwined with vernacular design.
